Meet Pua

PuaoEleili Pinto is a mother of two and a cultural health provider specializing in lomilomi since 2010, Lāʻau lapaʻau and research focusing on ʻŌiwi childbirth since 2014. The lands that raised her are Kailua, Oʻahu, with ancestral roots in Waiheʻe, Maui; Kona, Hawaiʻi Island; and Boise, Idaho. As a descendant of Kahuna Lapaʻau Poʻohina, who treated Western diseases with Hawaiian medicine in the 1860s, PuaoEleili perpetuates this legacy. ʻŌiwi practices are timeless and are needed more than ever to improve a family's journey through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
